Rise Once More
Jd and Ryan started playing music together in late 2004, calling themselves 'Broken October'. While going through many musical changes and gaining a drummer then losing him, they decided to just follow their hearts.
Around the same time, Ryan was asked to play bass for a band starting in his church. JT Scourick was debating between playing drums vs. doing vocals, while Daniel Santollo was set on playing lead. Another church friend, Richard Scelzi, was to play ryhtms. The band 'Crime Scene' had one short practice. The only thing determined was that Richard was in no way serious about the band. The band became Ryan, JT, and Daniel. The three began searching for a vocalist. After way too long, Ryan realized what he had. On one hand, a band that needed a drummer and possibly a lead, on the other hand, a band that needed a vocalist. What did he do? Combined. Immediately the four fell in love with each others' tastes in music and formed the band, 'Rise Once More'.
Through a lot of fights, set-backs, and leaps and bounds, Rise Once More for the first time lost a member, Daniel Santollo. Luckily, the band had been searching for a rhythms guitarist and had, just that night, picked up Taylor Ladd, church friend of Ryan, JT, and Daniel. Through time relationships between Daniel and the band were restored. Daniel, again, joined the band and played the Battle of the Bands with Rise Once More in February of 2006. Shortly after the concert, Daniel decided the band just wasn't for him and quit for good.
A few weeks passed and Rise Once More found a new lead guitarist. Maddye Johnson (a friend of Ryan, Taylor, and Jd) joined the band. The band is finally complete. Now they play for their Lord, in hopes to entertain someone else as well...
