Ryan and Jd are back in town with many new ideas! "After spending a week at a Christian rock festival [Cornerstone Festival 2006] you get a lot of new ideas for songs, lyrics and music both!" says bassist Ryan Smith. Taylor is still out of town but will be home (not soon enough) soon. The band is planning on recording a demo shortly. Email us at riseoncemore@yahoo.com for a copy. We also have a gig coming up on Sept. 2nd. We are preparing for it already and hoping to see many faces there! The show is part of the Paducahpalooza at Carson park. Bands will be playing all day Saturday and Sunday. We will play Saturday at 2:40pm. Come if you can! Keep the prayers rolling! Thanks!

Well Taylor is now out of town until the end of July, Jd and Ryan are leaving on Tuesday for a week, and Maddye is just getting back into town. So we aren't going to be able to get together as a full band for a while. Right now we're atttemping to record our newest full song "Bury Me" and figure out a plan for when Jd leaves for Belmont. Keep us in your prayers as we make some changes and travel. Thanks!

Ryan is now out of town. However, the rest of the band did have practice today. It went well, however having the entire band there is always a good thing. We will pick back up as soon as we can. Continue to pray for us as we try to get some gigs together and get stuff going. New demos will be up as soon as possible!

So Jd and JT are both traveling, we pray for their safety. Next week Ryan will be out of town. We will be reuniting as a whole band the next week (I think). We have music and lyrics for a new song entitled "Stains of Life." Jd wrote the music and Ryan wrote the lyrics, we hope it turns out good. Keep checking back with us for more updates!

Alright, well we have decided to add Maddye Johnson to the band. She is our new lead guitarist. We also have decided to use Sam Smith and Carson Dubrock for backing vocals on some of our songs. They are honarary members. Also, we want to let everyone ask us questions. So if you have any questions for the band or for any of the members just email us at riseoncemore@yahoo.com .

Wow! sorry guys, i know it's been a while since we've updated this site. My apologies! Well the band is actually doing great. Daniel quit again. But this time we aren't going to allow him into the band again. We gave him a second chance and her ruined it. We have a new song (written by JT) called "Bury Me" ... you all will be amazed at this song. It is very melodic, but at the same it is very hardcore. We are about to try an experimental change in the band. We are adding 3 new members to the group. 3 CHICKS!!! Maddye will be our lead guitarist, and Carson and Sam will be lead/backing vocals. We hope they add that melodic touch to the heavy direction we are going with our music. We want harder music ... MORE MOSHING!!! But we still want that melodic sound that we have always strived for. So hopefully they will bring that sound for us. I am about to update the rest of the site (right as soon as I finish this post), so later!

Not a whole lot of new info or news. We're still practicing and perfecting for Battle of the Bands but that's about it. We will probably start on some new stuff right after BotB. That's all we've got for ya at this time. Thanks for all of the support!

More news from the band! We have officially accepted Daniel back into the band as lead guitarist. We hope this choice will be for the best. We would have liked to be able to wait a little bit longer, but felt (for the sake of Battle of the Bands) that a decision needed to be made soon. So, because he is now in the band again, I will not be deleting the old pictures, however I will be adding new ones (as well as even knewer ones with all five of us when they are taken). Once again, bear with us as I learn how to work this thing. Oh, and updates are on the SHOWS tab above. Thanks for all of the support!

Hey all you Rise Once More fans out there! This is Ryan (bass/vocals/growls). Due to the work it takes to keep our purevolume and myspace accounts up and running, I will be taking care of this one while Jd takes care of the others. Lots of news to fill in so I'll get straight to it. The band has lost Daniel (lead/vocals) due to disagreements, etc. Luckily, the same day we lost him we had already picked up a rythms guitarist: Taylor Ladd (church friend of Ryan and JT and school friend of Ryan). As of now Taylor and Jd are splitting the role of lead. Daniel has lately asked back into the band. We are thinking hard about this. We have laid down some criteria for him to meet. If he does so in a timely manner, we will allow him to play with us again. If he doesn't meet the criteria, he won't be back with us. We believe this the best way to do things. Onto other subjects. The band will be playing on February 25th at Lone Oak First Baptist Church for the 2nd annual Battle of the Bands. We hope to see you all there. A very rusty demo of the two songs we will be playing is on both myspace and purevolume (links for both are under the media tab). We have some new pictures but until I can get on a better computer to upload they'll have to remain off for now. Bear with us, please. The band still practices every Wednesday afternoon and welcomes all who would like to observe (requesting observers would make little to no disturbances, we do that enough on our own). And we will probably perfrom this Wednesday (Feb. 1st) and possibly once or twice more in February. Come check us out and support us! Thanks for all of the support!

There is a brand new forum up!  For all you R.O.M. fans this is what yo have to do: Register (some name; could be ur actual name of a cool made up name), Post (let the band know hwo you are and that you support them), Have Fun (talk to other R.O.M. fans about anything you want).  Enjoy!

Ryan has left town for a week in Washington, D.C.  Rise Once More will still have practice on Wednesday at Friendship Baptist though (any R.O.M. fans can come watch the band practice every Wednesday still).  Jd recorded part of a demo for one of their more melodic songs for the album.  The band is also in contact with friend (and possible co-producer of their demo/album), Isaac Chapman.  Hopefully, some of the album will be recorded by Isaac himself.  As for the band, they are doing great.  I had a chance to listen to them practice a brand new song called "Forever" (written by Ryan Smith), and this one will be a crowd favorite.  Mark my words!

As a side note:  You all probably thought this site was updated by Ryan or Jd themselves.  As for having very busy schedules already, Jd can only put pictures and tracks on this site.  I am (for now) helping my good friends keep this site up until they can allow 1 or 2 very loyal fans manage the site.  I can update for the time being but the band wants their fans to know that this site is for YOUR benefit.  If you would like to manage this site (or even just 1 or 2 pages of the site), please contact the band at riseoncemore@yahoo.com

Daniel is back in town and much better, Jd is back in town from vacation, and Ryan and JT are eager to start practicing again.  The photo shoot was suppose to happen this weekend but the band and Erin (the photography chick) couldn't work all their schedules out so no photo shoot just yet.  Mucho Sorry!  But soon there will be pictures of the BEAUTIFUL band members (haha pshhh funny crap right there).  For now that is all we have to say ... new songs coming soon, new EP coming soon.

Oct 13, 2005 - 3:23 pm
Wow!  So this is the start of a new era for us.  We have a new official site.  Don't worry we will still keep our Myspace and Purevolume sites up and running.  We are very excited as a band right now.  We have new material being written.  We are soon going to record another demo for our upcoming EP.  Daniel is away for now and needs alot of pray.  So for now we have kinda slowed down until he gets back.  But once Daniel is back and ready to rock then all of you watch out for our EP to be out soon.
